Automation QA Engineer
Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery. As part of our growing QA team, you'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive quality from early development through to release.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Identify test cases for automation based on manual test scenarios or business requirements.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing for web and/or mobile applications.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews to ensure quality is considered at every stage of development.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand application features and architecture to improve test coverage.
- Troubleshoot test failures and identify root causes to improve test stability and reliability.
- Contribute to test plan creation, test strategy, and quality metrics reporting.
Skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer or similar role.
- Solid experience with one or more automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
- Good understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with REST API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile test automation (e.g., Appium).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
